Sharon was the founder of Innovative Alternatives, Inc. and President & CEO for 35 years. IA is a mediation, counseling and training nonprofit in Houston. She developed many forms of mediation while serving in this role and is now in private practice, doing the services she loves.
Sharon served as founding President of the College of Texas Mediators, one of the predecessor organizations to the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, for which she was a founding Board member and Treasurer.

Sharon is a TMCA Distinguished Mediator, having logged thousands of hours in Workplace Mediation as well as Family Reconciliation & Intervention Mediation, but she also holds specialties in Divorce and Custody, Eldercare & Guardianship, and Multicultural Mediation as an experiential form of Diversity training.

As a counselor, Sharon has extensive experience with trauma, having run a Victim Assistance Program for 30+ years, serving thousands of violent crime survivors annually. Sharon has consulted and resolved conflicts in days that have raged in companies for 10+ years!
As a trainer, Sharon has 35 years of experience and is a statewide and national conference speaker on mental and relational health topics.
